Olive oil (EVOO) + sea salt is a great way to flavor up your foods when you have GERD. And I alway enjoy this simple method. But if you want to take it up a notch and still keep your digestive system happy, you can try my 5-ingredient simple spice blend: GERD-friendly Taco Seasoning (Taco Spice Blend). It has none of the offending spices, nor any added sugars, but plenty of the warmth and flavor you desire to create a flavorful savory meal.

Yes, this seasoning contains some garlic, a common GERD trigger. But (small amounts) of dehydrated or dried version of garlic may be tolerable.

My book the Healthy Alkaline Diet Guide provides many vegetarian options that can suit — or easily be adapted to — fit within a GERD healing or maintenance plan to keep symptoms of acid reflux abay and fuel your health needs. This GERD-friendly Taco Spice Blend is used is quite a few of the books recipes because it works so well.

Below is a sneak preview of my book (from the Kindle version) with the recipe for this ideal seasoning blend.
